Malicious Wishes
From deep within thy heart,
Dost thee not find dark?
With every good deed,
Dost thee have no greed?
Cover’d so nicely with light of feign,
Underlies a wish to confer pain…
Blood rolls from the teeth of the beholder,
And it is thee with a darkly cloak upon thine shoulder…
Tell me not in sickly numbers
That thee hath no blacken’d slumber!
Show me just one with no lustful desire,
And to my grave, I should retire!
Under thine Cape of light,
Wish thee, not one other some blight?
Hide not thy behaviour callous,
In thy soul I spy malice!
Every human is malevolent,
Attempt not to tell me different…
Complacent and malice go hand in hand…
Deny this, and in thy soul, self denial should be brand.
Show me but one love with no pain,
And mine soul thee wouldst gain.
Tell me now, that thee dost deny all this,
And thee should only prove my rightfulness…
