The Blacken'd Tears of Love

A single crystalline tear finds its way
Down thy cheek…
Depression shrouds thee
Descending upon thine shoulders like a darkly sheet.

In that one tear, like a liquid diamond
Falling down a cliff to iniquity…
I see not myself,
But a parody thee wish’d wert me

The sweet ecstasy I once procured,
Now, to thou, art something of woe…
Endeavor as I may to bring thee love,
Thou turn thy cheek as though I wert foe

So sweetly thou doth slip into an unknown slumber,
Only I could see that sheet woven of despair…
Enveloped in a darkly mist art thou,
I shan’t allow thine darkness to slip unto mine heir.

Thee hath found me to blame…
Alas, thou art the only one with any fame
So suddenly the bliss I found,
Now thee hath keenly drown’d.
